The scope covers my major areas of professional interest and specializations (emerging web technologies, web and database development, research, genealogy, and libraries), as well as my many personal interests. After attempts to maintain separate sites and blogs on each of these subjects, I decided to start from scratch and combine them into just one, in hopes that I will actually keep this one up to date.

I am a librarian by training, from Orange County, California, but currently work as a web and database developer. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in History, as well as a Masters of Library & Information Science. My research specializations include: genealogy, history, public records, demographics, and statistics -- but if it's out there, I can find it. My web specializations include database and information architecture.
